No, Really, I Am Sick Again!

Yes, I am sick again. This time I can't breathe. Through my nose yes, but my chest is working hard to get airtime. You know how I like to share anatomy lessons with pictures and diagrams of the condition, but my searches showed up with nothing that wouldn't gross you out. I really do not think my buddies want to see a picture of bronchial tubes with mucus build up! This is what is seriously constricting my air intake. I am back in bed, on antibiotics, and typing this post on my laptop because my late afternoon nap is keeping me from sleeping.

Okay, I will share another little tidbit about myself. I am too cheap to go see a movie in the theater. Yeppers, that is the way it is. In fact, the last time I was in a theater was to see Nemo. It was a birthday party for one of my kids' friends. It was the other parents' treat. You see, when your husband designs home theater systems for a living, I get kind of spoiled on the comforts of home while watching a movie with our wonderful system Rhea installed.

All this to say, that the only times I can think of a time where I actually wanted to go to the theater was to see Facing the Giants and to see Fireproof. But no, I did not give in to my desires. I waited and waited and then kept thinking, when will the dvd ever come out? I enjoyed Facing the Giants when it came out on DVD.

Finally, tonight, I got to watch Fireproof. It was so well done too. Excellent material. I cried more when he apologized to his mother than when he and his wife reconciled. Okay, I am assuming you have seen it. I need to take my last round of meds and try to get some sleep.

  2. Hi Shannon - Thanks for the encouraging words on my blog. I am grateful for your prayers! I hope you feel better soon.

P.S. Designing home theater systems sounds like fun! We only have a 20-inch tv screen for watching movies at home...and I rarely get out to the movies. I'll have to check out Fireproof now that it's on DVD.

  5. Hope you're feeling better!

I LOVED Facing the Giants as well. The scene where the player carries his teammate as far as he 'thinks' he can is so unbelieveably powerful! I haven't seen Fireproof yet and I know I won't be disappointed!

  7. I have not seen fireproof yet but loved the others :) Hope you are doing much better now. I am so totally opposite to you, going to the movie is a favorite thing of mine but I RARELY get the treat to do it! I would love one of those systems you spoke of especially if it is BIG. Getting harder and harder for me to see the tv.

    big hugs
