Symptoms: The queasiness is here all day long. Smells of any kind can "get" me. It could even be a pleasant smell to most people, but to me these days, uh, no. Clothes aren't fitting anymore.

I think it is official, last night will be the last time I handle, prep, or cook raw poultry until my second trimester when the morning sickness is gone. I couldn't even eat the chicken soup that sounded so good before I started to make it. They all loved it and had seconds. Me? I ate cheese nachos.

I am going to try a few different remedies for the morning sickness this time around, but honestly, nothing has worked in the past. It is just part of the territory! : )

I will leave you with Sarah's idea of a redneck stroller for her stuffed flamingo.

See what happens when I leave the room for a very short time??

  3. Soooo happy for you! Morning sickness is a "good" sign!
Have you tried the following? Taking an over the counter Vitamin B6 capsule and ginger capsules daily til morning sickness is gone. Also sniffing lemons when you get waves of nausea, or even squeezing some of the juice directly in your mouth or in water...
Excited to hear how the ultrasound goes--pants not fitting--twins are a real possibility!! :)

  4. Hope you start feeling better. Morning sickness is the worst, but I know you are also grateful for the opportunity to have it!! Lemons squeezed in water definitely helped me the most, but nothing completely took it away. I had it bad this last time!

  6. Morning sickness is bad... but it's just a reminder of the blessing in the womb! I didn't do much cooking the first or third trimesters. Godspeed!

  7. What an amazing reminder of the miracle/s that are in you. I pray the sickness dulls a bit for you.

  8. I am trying to find a "functioning" level of morning sickness. I know it is here to stay for many weeks! It is a good sign though I know.
